10 REASONS WHY E-LEARNING IS THE NEW NORMAL

In a world where Lab tests are being taught online, we cannot deny the fact that e-learning is the new normal. Given the present pandemic situation, it has become more sort of a need to provide education online to keep up the pace of syllabus with the students. Also we know that online education existed long before Covid 19 came into being. There are numerous reasons why people prefer electronic mode of learning. However, we have listed 10 important reasons for the same. Let’s understand them deeply.
  • Anywhere. Anytime.
Today’s lifestyle is a hectic one. People are multitasking and to earn enough for their survival, they are involved in various jobs. In such a circumstance, when they still want to improve their knowledge, they choose E-learning mode because it avails them with the flexibility of time as well as place. They can learn from any corner of the world in the middle of the night or in the early morning.
I live in a small town of Gujarat. One can’t expect high level classes that can teach you online marketing with expertise here or a library full of best sellers.
  • Affordable
There are 2 things important for e-learning; Internet and a Gadget. With the development in the tech world, both of these things have become so affordable that everyone is able to afford e-learning. Especially for India, the entry of Reliance Jio changed the entire graph of internet users.
This reminds me of an incident. Around 10 years back, we had a BSNL Broadband connection with a prescribed amount of usage. I remember, once I overused it that led to an uninvited rage in the house wrapped in the form of a telephone bill.
  • Educators from across the globe
E-learning has been a part of the world for a long time now. People being in India are learning from the experts of London. Why will a person not choose E-Learning if they can learn from the best with just a few pennies in pocket?
When you are admitted to a particular or institution, you don’t have a choice other than the teachers/professors hired in there. To avoid the class, either you have to bunk or complain. And we all know what we choose.
  • Parental Watch.
Its one of the most important concerns of the parents if their children are studying appropriately or not, if the teachers are teaching properly or not. E-Learning has abandoned this and has relieved the parents from this worry. Because of the ERP system of the schools, now not only teachers but also the parents can keep a watch on their child's activities. The new application systems allows parents to have the update on the homework, on the scores and the remarks if any, given by the teacher. Edukit if one those companies that helps the schools build such ERP systems along with a mobile friendly app. So, if you are worried about your children's education, ask your school to get Edukit.
  • Socially Distancing.
In the present circumstance, when Corona has made the physical distance mandatory, E-learning plays a key role in providing education and training the people. Physical classrooms make people prone to corona through touch. This fear has been eliminated by the boon of E-learning because it keeps you socially distanced.
  • Improved Technology.
The advancement in the technology is the major cause why people are able to switch to E-learning this easily. If this would have occurred even a decade ago, we believe providing or seeking education online wouldn’t have been possible.
Let me talk about my school. Electronic mail was a part of the syllabus but we were never taught how to make one due to the lack of internet facility.
  • Learn N number of times.
One of the prominent advantages of E-learning is that you can watch the tutorials or attend the recorded class infinite times. This helps the learners to revisit the class if they didn’t understand it the first time whereas in physical class, you need to ask the professor again expecting them to be patient and explain again.
I mean I remember one of my teachers who used to say, “I explained just a few minutes ago! Where were you then?” The fear of such reply restricts students to ask again. This drawback has been eliminated by E-Learning.
  • Updated Education.
The syllabus of our schools is almost outdated. The books don’t talk about the latest advancements, the recent discoveries or the current trends in the market. To survive in a constantly changing world, it is important for our education to be updated only then can we provide updated education. E-learning also covers this drawback of our outdated education. As every day several new tutors come up with their videos and seminars to spread their updated knowledge.
As far as I remember, my management school didn’t talk about social media marketing at all which was booming in that duration.
  • More Knowledge.
Reading books is a boring task for majority of the students. Reading beyond the textbooks is like a mirage for such students. E-learning provides education in an engaging way that holds the learner throughout the course. This also motivates them to learn more and seek more knowledge.
If I talk about my Masters, a batch of 365 students (Yes! You read it right. It was a batch of 365 in a year), I hardly saw 5 students in the library reading something beyond textbooks.

  • Progress Report
Are you someone who actually waits for the teacher to announce the result or the other one? I was the former one who asked almost every next day, “Ma’am when you will show us the papers? Sir, when will you give the marks?” Now, the idea was definitely to know how I have performed in the exams so that I can improve for the next. Many a times it happened that the teachers hardly cared to provide proper results. They either simply gave marks based on our past performance or they just checked the headlines and marked right or wrong.
E-learning banishes us from this downside of physical classroom and helps you with detailed reports on your performance showing the KRAs and the areas to improve. This is why Edukit does not only provide you with an LMS but also arranges for the tests for your students.

Thus, adopting e-learning is not only beneficial but something really important for everyone to stay updated with the ever changing and advancing world and to sum up these are the reasons
